Fun PBN! Good for beginners! I started to run out of one of the paints so I had to improvise at the end but it worked out. Some of the paints started to dry out quickly but added a few drops of diluted flow aid and was able to save them. Few details where missing from what the original painting as advertised showed but still came out great.Took a little long to get it but expected with the way things are going now. Bought it as a gift for my 13 yr old daughter and 10 yr old son. We where able to stretch the canvas onto a frame we got at hobby lobby. After watching a you tube video on how to stretch the canvas was really simple. My daughter loves the paint by numbers but my son hasn’t tried his yet. My daughter finished hers in 3 days but it took her several hours to complete. The only thing I wish would of been different would be if the company wouldn’t send the canvas folded and would of rolled it. Not a deal breaker thou bc once we ironed it with the numbers side down and stretched it you would never know it was folded. We found a 16x20 frame from hobby lobby is a touch to big actually if you want color around the edges of the canvas. So for my sons we bought a 19x15 frame and it’s the perfect over hang for color and gives you enough canvas to really stretch. We are now going to get my daughter another one to try and even order some custom canvas paint by numbers for her to try. I recommend this to anyone wanting to get into painting. My daughter had tried painting before but never liked any of her work. With this she could see it come to life before her eyes. Some may say it’s cheating painting by numbers but we aren’t in a competition so we don’t think it is.Pros: fun, easy, let’s you see your painting come to life.Cons: took over a month to receive but was worth it.I am very dissatisfied with the Yak grey scale paint by number kit. For starters it arrived damaged. The primer used was flaking off in two spots on the canvas, on the fold lines to be exact. It could not be simply covered with paint to repair, and I had to purchase additional products to cover the damage. Thankfully the seller gave me a partial refund to cover some of my costs. That being said, the canvas, once put upon a standard 16x20 stretcher bar kit, did not fit. It was too small and the dark lines were well within the perimeter instead of on the perimeter of the stretched canvas. In the fourth picture you can see the pre-printed edges of the picture in comparison to the size of the stretcher bars. Next on the list is color. After having repaired the canvas and creating a color swatch, it became evident that the kit was not grey scale as listed, but rather green scale instead, as if a filter had been applied to the picture. Please see included photos of the the finished paint by number, including a side by side comparing the green vs the grey that was advertised. Lastly, the paints. It was more like glaze by number instead of paint by number. The paints were so thin, especially the lighter ones, that I had to do two, even three coats just to cover the numbers. This alone turned a pleasant pastime into a tedious nightmare, completed only because it was purchased by request as an anniversary gift. One might ask why I didn't get a refund? Good question. Amazon's policy is that the product has to be returned in order to get the refund, and considering the time and money I had already invested in the painting, combined with the partial refund I had already received, it was not worth it. Having finished the painting I think it's an awesome picture, but I would definitely not buy it again, and while the seller was cooperative, I seriously question their quality control, not to mention the overall quality of their kits. I would not buy from this seller again and highly recommend you look elsewhere for these paint by number kits.It was extremely creased more than typical. It took a while of ironing.They do not give you enough of #18 and #1 (black shades) 1 mostly because you’ll need it for the 18 spot. The colors are not true to life. The white wine is very orange. The “red” shade #9 dries to almost brown. I ended up mixing #10 with #9 for some areas that needed more red to show.Overall... I like it but wish it was less orangeAlso... some numbers are so small the ink really just became a dot. Since the shades don’t match, I had a hard time guessing. Mostly on rim of glass.I put a pic of online photo next to mine so you can see the difference.After finishing the yak and orange cow. I went back to look at reviews. It seems that they will send some with completely different colors. I had to be created to make my yak look more like the picture. My colors were slightly off than other reviewers.Let's started with the "unframed" canvas. Horrible quality. Folded and giant wriggles than have to be steamed. After that you will need to build a frame and stretch the canvas so your painting lasts.Now on to the paints. This is where they have to he joking. There wasn't even enough paint to finish one area of the same number. Didn't even make it a quarter of the way through that number. Also the falsely advertise this as oil based. First oil base I have ever used that cleans up with water and dryer to the touch in minutes.The picture is very accurate however the colors are somewhat different from the picture. I feel like the picture has more of a green/grey background and the white wine is light tans. The colors I received have a brown background and the white wine has more orange in it. The biggest issue is that the red wine uses a black color (#18) and there isn’t even close to enough paint. I’m not sure how to finish the painting since I’m missing a bunch of the black paint. I’m going to have to color match with another blackish color I bought from the store. Very disappointed that I had only half the needed black.This is really good quality canvas material with good paints. I loved it and loved the final product. Who knew painting by numbers could look this great!I’m half way through it and so far loving it! Plenty of paints and the paper guide that comes with it is great. Took a while to arrive and needed ironing before starting but will be fine stretched out when finished!Update: it’s finished! Really happy with how it’s turned out!! Good value for money and great for beginners!!Looks a bit like the original picture if it was blurred. Some bits were super tiny but luckily not all of them. I didn’t see a picture of the finished product anywhere on the listing so thought I’d add mine. It was my first painting by numbers project and I was pleased with it - not too hard if you can see well. The numbers were very small but there was a handy map that came with it. The brushes were pretty poor quality - one just fell apart but I have been using the other pretty happily and supplemented it with others I already had. Good value for money.The paints are so incredibly thin. Even if you go over the numbers and lines again and again, they remain visible. I’m so disappointed!I’ve used other companies for this and the paints hid everything.It turned up so crinkled that even ironing couldn’t take the creases out.The design itself is lovely, but that’s it. That’s all I can say.Loved painting this during my period of furlough. Great canvass material to paint on, plenty of paint and a really relaxing activity. I was so pleased with the result that I bought a frame for it and it’s now displayed in my kitchen.
