Mr. Baim's book is expensive, and worth every penny, if you are a therapist, lawyer, or other relational professional who wants to understand how to use the DMM in daily work. I am a lawyer and I have spent a lot of time learning the DMM, which I find is an extremely powerful tool for understanding human behavior in the context of threat, danger and conflict. I read Mr. Baim's book early in my DMM studies and I found it very helpful. The book provides a practical overview of the DMM, its underlying concepts, and related concepts such as Interpersonal Neurobiology, why and how memory systems are related to the ways people transform information and experiences. The author provides practical case studies to help readers understand basic DMM-attachment patterns, and a series of tools for applying the DMM in every day use. The book is expensive in part because it takes advantage of useful graphic visuals to convey the topics.
